From Lucknow, through fifteen winters of medicine.
I grew up in Lucknow, in a household where turmeric was stirred into warm milk long before anyone called it medicine and where food and medicine were, in truth, the same thing. Scent, spice and rituals were never a wellbeing trend. They were simply how we lived.
Fifteen years across healthcare in India and the UK followed, spanning clinical practice and modern medical systems. From this foundation grew an evolution. Holding formal Ayurvedic training in one hand and modern healthcare protocols in the other, I set out to build a bridge between both disciplines.
What I practise today is neither nostalgia nor novelty. It is Ayurveda spoken in the present tense - clinical, proactive, evidence based, personalised for anyone who have stopped believing they have to choose between ancient wisdom and modern medicine.
I am not three things. I am one practitioner with three lenses.
As an Ayurvedic practitioner, I meet the body where it is in its rhythms, its seasons, its memory. As a Wellbeing Artist, I work at the edges of perception: scent, sensation, ritual, ceremony. As an NHS Healthcare Consultant, I carry fifteen years of clinical experience into every room I enter. These are not three jobs. They are one vision, expressed differently depending on what the moment asks of me.
